Here in Florida, there are more than 2.5 million people living with lung disease, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, lung cancer and others. To help fund the American Lung Association’s work to end lung disease, today, the American Lung Association in Florida announced that it will host the iconic Fight For Air Climb Orlando at the City National Bank Building on February 18, 2023.

This is the 16th year of the Fight For Air Climb Orlando, the premier stair-climbing event in Orlando. Participants will climb 25 flights, or 512 steps up to the top of the iconic City National Bank Building.

“Fight For Air Climb events are great for friends, family, companies and first responder teams to climb stairs to support people with lung disease and lung cancer, have fun and get some great exercise. And anyone can climb! This event is designed for every type of climber, from beginners to competitive climbers,” said John Rendle, with Verobiotech and Chair of the 2023 Fight For Air Climb Orlando.

“We are thrilled to give our climbers the opportunity to return home to the original event location where it all began at the City National Bank Tower, formally the Bank of America Center.” shared Janelle Hom, executive director for the American Lung Association. “The inclusion of firefighters and first responders from across Central Florida is what makes this event so unique. And this year to add to the excitement, we will feature the Austin Duran Firefighter Challenge, honoring our first responders impacted by lung disease.”

Registration for the Fight For Air Climb is $35 and includes a $100 fundraising minimum. For more information, and to register, visit FightForAirClimb.org/Orlando.
